Brian Barnes - the six times Ryder Cup player and multiple European Tour winner was at Sundridge Park yesterday to present the inaugural Butten Boys Trophy - Brian was one of the Butten Boys from the 1960's and it was wonderful to hear his recollection of his time at Sundridge and his Golfing stories from his lifetime in Golf. The Butten Boys Trophy coincided was played yesterday to celebrate the completion of the extensive Bunker and Drainage works which have been carried out over the last couple of years. The first ever winner of The Butten Boys Trophy was Thomas Gamble with a tremendous score of 41 points and the runner up was Paul Greenwood with 39 points and in 3rd place Bassey Dunbar with 37 points – many thanks must go to Simon Wood, Ben Riley and Ben Price for their excellent organisation on the day and for Course Director Richard Jones for setting the pins up on mostly accessible places
