Members and guests were treated to beautiful conditions and entertainment from saxophonist, Matt Stacey, to enjoy a glass or two of bubbly before watching our new Captain, Mr Kevin Turner strike his drive-in ball straight down the middle of the fairway.
There was clearly inside knowledge for the 'Guess the Drive' competition, as Kevin's son, Spike, chose correctly and won the bottle of champagne.
A wonderful lunch followed, and just prior to Kevin's speech guests gave a full rendition of 'We're forever blowing Bubbles' in tribute to his beloved West Ham United.
The Deputy Mayor of Bromley Cllr Alan Collins, Bob Neill MP, and the CEO of the Maypole charity, which is the Captain's chosen charity for the year, were in attendance, and along with all others, enjoyed a fabulous day.
We all wish Kevin well in his year as Captain.
