SENIORS TEAM INVITATION CHARITY DAY

What a fantastic day we had on Wednesday 2nd September 2015 when 28 visiting Clubs from all over the South and East of England competed for an impressive prize table worth over £800.00. The weather stayed fine and the golf was impressive.

Overall Winners this year were Broke Hill (A) Dave Long, Bernie Deacon, Tony Rumph and hosted by Sundridge player Dave Cook. Seniors Captain Trevor Davis presented each player with a Highland Fayre Celebration Hamper. 

In 2nd place Hever Castle, represented by Tom Stack, Terry Mitchell, David Hepburn and Sundridge player Alan Long.

3rd place went to West Kent (B) with Trevor Hall, Danny Catton, John Marshall and SPGC host Max Holley.

4th Place was Bearstead GC with John Baxter, Ken Palmer, Bryan Douglas and SPGC host Michael Court.

Best SPGC player was David Parkin with 36 points. 

The 9th Hole was sponsored by Westwell Wealth Management, with a bottle of Champagne for nearest the pin won by Clive Aird, and a Magnum of Champagne presented to Bryan Douglas for their email draw. The sponsorship of this hole and contributions by our Seniors for raffle prizes, Bassey Dunbar and Iris Hurren selling raffle tickets, plus the 2 ball sweep raised a total of ................... 

£2000.00 !!

This will be split evenly between the Club Captain's Charity, St Christopher's Hospice and the Lady Captain's Charity, Mind.

Thanks on the day must go to volunteer starters Jim Gunson and Keith Andrews, to Terry Lambourne for his help on Check in, also to Terry and Keith for their Card checking and general Admin help. and of course to Jo Day and John Dale in the Office.
