Richard Toogood - New Club Captain

Over 150 Members and guests were treated to beautiful conditions and enjoyed a glass or two of bubbly before watching our new Club Captain, Mr Richard Toogood, Drive in.  After a few of his so called friends had presented him with a box to stand on - Richard hit his drive-in ball straight down the middle of the fairway.  Wisely Richard decided not to stand on the box for the actual drive in shot!

There was clearly inside knowledge for the 'Guess the Drive' competition, as the current Lady Captain Elaine Lopategui, chose correctly and won the bottle of champagne.

A wonderful lunch followed, attended by the Deputy Mayoress of Bromley Councillor Hannah Gray, Bob Neill MP, as well as many Past Captains of SPGC in attendance, and along with all others, enjoyed a fabulous day.

We all wish Richard well in his year as Captain.
