Ladies Local League 30 Year Celebration

On Thursday 27th October 2016 golfing history was being made.

The ladies local league is a competition between the ladies of Sundridge Park, Chistlehurst, West Kent and Langley Park and is played midweek for handicaps 0-20.

As Sundridge Park were responsible for the management of the league this year, the 30 year celebration of the inauguration of the league could not pass us by without honouring the event.
44 ladies from the four clubs enjoyed a lunch for the presentation of the trophies for this season.  33 ladies also played in a nine hole competition.

Our special guest for the presentation was Anthea Warwick, who, with Janet Alldread were responsible for introducing the league thirty years ago.

Players were invited from this season's competition as well as those who have played in the league in the past. I am pleased to say that it was an enjoyable occasion and a quiz about the four clubs, courtesy of Peter Long, was great fun.

I am delighted to say Sundridge Park ladies won the league this year with Langley Park as runners up.
