Sundridge Team bring home the Perman Shield

At the start of a great day, the morning foursomes matches tee'd off through a light early morning mist hanging over the Rochester and Cobham Park golf club. All matches got off to tricky start, with the Wildernesse team, playing some superb golf and up in all 4 games. But the Sundridge players raised their game and rallied to turn it around; ending the morning foursomes with 4 straight wins.

Going into the afternoon singles (8 matches) with a 4-0 lead, the team needed 3 points to secure victory.

After another great display of golf, the team, lead by Danny Smith and Dan Dring, came out on top by a margin of 8.5 to 3.5. With the win they bring home the magnificent Perman Shield, first presented by Sundridge Park Member, George Perman, in 1925.

Congratulations to all the team!

A big thank you to RCPGC for hosting the final and to Wildernesse golf club as excellent opponents.
