Men's Over 50's Championships

Sunday 9th August saw 126 players take part in the Men's Over 50's Championships.

Played over 18 holes on the East course, this first major competition of the 2020 saw challenging conditions with temperatures in mid-30s.

Congratulations go to Richard Tomlin (1 hcp) who won the Shortlands Trophy (Scratch) prize with a gross 72, with David Blair (6 hcp) 2nd (gross 73) and Mark Lawrence (3 hcp) 3rd (gross 74).

In the handicap competition, Lawrence Beckett (16 hcp) won the Giddings Trophy with an excellent nett 67, with David Blair (6 hcp) again finishing 2nd on countback, also with a nett 67 and Jonathan Padfield (7 hcp) 3rd with a nett 69 on countback.
