Sunday 16th December saw the third and final of this year's superb Xmas Lunches
Yesterday saw the third and final of this year's superb Xmas Lunches. 110 members attended this event and overall more than 300 members and guests attended the 2018 Xmas lunches.The four course Xmas lunch which once again was superb and many thanks to our chef Simon and his staff and also to Arun and his staff for their immaculate service - during the break between meals there was a round of heads and tails the amount raised is in excess of £1200 for the Captains Charity Demelza Hospice Care For Children and after the traditional rendition of the 12 days of Xmas ably lead by Colin Murray with assistance from Paul Cantara we were superbly entertained by the extremely versatile Paul Cantara with his Legends of Rock act culminating with an appearance from Sexy Steve and Freddie Mercury - many thanks to new social organiser Colin (assisted by his wife Catherine) for such a great social event and for being ever present along with Nicole and Steve at all three lunches - photos can be viewed
