Kent Ladies Winter Fourball Champions!

It is with great pleasure that I can report on the Final of the Kent Winter Fourball that was played today (24 April 2018) at Rochester & Cobham with Lyn Baimbridge and Anne-Marie Forrester taking on our very own Kent Winter Fourball Champions of 2017, Ingrid Long and Bassey Dunbar!

Unfortunately, I was unable to get there for the tee off, but I kindly asked the pilot if he could manage somehow to land earlier than the scheduled time at Heathrow, so I could at least get to see the end of the match. He did listen, and I was able to arrive at Rochester & Cobham whilst they were teeing off on the 12th hole!!

Upon landing, I was kept fully informed by Michelle, texting me to say that our ladies were all square on the 10th hole with both pairs playing extremely well and some great golf to be seen.

It was lovely to see Margaret Barilone who had travelled all the way from London, Sharon Brooks, Michelle Quinlan, Sandra and Wally Nadin there to cheer them on.

I witnessed some amazing shots from all four players, but it was Anne-Marie's birdy putt that clinched the win on the 16th hole.

A huge congratulations to Lyn and Anne-Marie the Champions of this years Kent Winter fourball and to the runners up, Ingrid and Bassey. It was a great achievement to have two finalists from Sundridge Park Golf Club.
