Captain's Day - 8th July 2017
The very successful Captain's Day took place on Saturday 8th July 2017 with the shotgun starts being split with the East Course players playing at 09.30 and the West Course players at 11.00 after the dramatic Lions Rugby match.
The overall Winner was Alex Broughton with a superb 43 stableford points equating to a Gross 67 (two under par) score on the West Course - the Winner on the West Course was John Heywood with 40 points and on the East Course Steve Instrell with 37 points.
Many thanks must go to Richard Toogood (Skip) for laying on a such a great event and he even managed to keep fairly calm during the Rugby! and the members of SPGC helped to raise a staggering £4,500 for his Captains Charity - Diabetes UK.
