Successes for Sundridge ladies at Kent Championship 2017

This year's ladies Kent Championship was played at Littlestone from 4-6 April 2017.

The weather was very kind as there was no rain, which is a real bonus. Each day the course played totally different, which can be expected at a links course such as Littlestone. The course was in wonderful condition.

Sundridge Park was represented by 9 ladies; 4 played in the Main Championship and 5 played in the Seniors Championship.

Our new member, Terri Linskey, played some excellent golf in the Senior Championship; she won the qualifying round and then went on to win the seniors trophy winning 3 rounds in the matchplay stage. Congratulations, Terri.

Kim Morris, played in the Main Champion and qualified for the matchplay stages. She lost in the first round to Sharna Dutrieux, who would go on to win the Kent Championship. Kim then went on to the final of the 2nd flight, but unfortunately lost to Nicola Smith of Sittingbourne. Kim played some superb golf over the 6 rounds in 3 days. Well played, Kim.

Tita McCart also played in the Main Championship and scored the lowest qualifying round by shooting a 3 under par 70, which included 7 birdies.

Kim, Tita and Ainee O'Connor (currently at college in America) have been selected for County week at Littlestone, which takes place from Monday 26 – Friday 30 June.
